Pop singer Sabrina Carpenter has put her boyfriend to work in her music video for her newly released banger Please, Please, Please.
Carpenter, 25, is dating A-list actor Barry Keoghan, 31. Whether we like it or not, we’ve seen the infamous bath scene in Saltburn.
When the two first started dating, they were quiet about it. It was a random match. He is an acclaimed actor from a working-class background in Ireland, and she’s a former Disney channel star turned pop princess.
He’d recently split from his girlfriend, Alyson Sandro, with whom he shares his son Brando, who was born in 2022.
Meanwhile, Carpenter’s dating history is rumoured to include classic LA types like Shawn Mendes and Joshua Bassett.
At the beginning when they were keeping things quiet, we got a few grainy photos of them leaving restaurants together.
Then things warmed up and Keoghan was seen supporting Carpenter at her shows. They finally stopped being subtle and were seen canoodling at Vanity Fair’s Oscars Party.
Now, Carpenter’s really taken things seriously and given her Irish actor a full-blown starring role in her music video.
It is very Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez of them.
It was directed by Bardia Zeinali, who has a history of working for Gigi Hadid, and the track was produced by Taylor Swift’s long-term collaborator, Jack Antonoff.
The music video is pretty sexy. Basically, Carpenter croons about not wanting to be “embarrassed” by her boyfriend, and Keoghan plays a naughty convict who keeps getting caught.
It’s quite sexy. At one point, she’s perched on the bonnet of a car in a red dress and the actor is nuzzling into her.
It’s a pretty big way to officially confirm their romance. Carpenter’s boyfriend starred in one of her music videos before he managed to be featured in one of her Instagram posts.
Expectedly, the fans were very excited.
“This is everything!” Gossip columnist Perez Hilton wrote, and plenty of like-minded excitement followed.
“The hard launch no one saw coming, but everyone wanted.”
“Barry! What are you doing there?”
“I am gagged.”
“I’m on the floor! Help.”
“It must be bring your boyfriend to work day.”
“Having your man in your music video is such a power move.”
“You are so iconic for having Barry in your music video.”

“You win the hard launch.”
Not to be outdone by the overexcited fans, Keoghan commented, “gorgeous” on the music video and shared it on his own social media.
“What are we saying, darling?” he wrote, and Carpenter replied, “I heard that you’re an actor”, which he is, but they are also lyrics from her new song.
