Jane Seymour, 73, Leans Into Country Style in Sexy Black Dress and Boots at the CMT Awards - PEOPLE

Jane Seymour has gone country.

For the CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 7, the British actress, 73, leaned into Western-inspired style. Seymour was all smiles in a sexy black sequin alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet dress that featured a lace-trimmed neckline and tiered skirt. She accessorized with black, red and white cowboy boots for a country flair.

The star added a silver, heart-shaped necklace for a touch of glamour.

Seymour’s dark blonde hair was styled in loose waves that cascaded over her shoulders and she wore a glowy, natural makeup look.

At the event, the former Bond girl was among the ceremony’s presenters, along with fellow stars such as Billy Bob Thornton, Melissa Etheridge, Jelly Roll, Emma Roberts, Emily Osment and Minnie Driver.

Seymour was accompanied by her boyfriend John Zambetti, though the couple didn’t pose on the red carpet together. She made her relationship with the musician public in October 2023 by sharing a pair of photos with Zambetti captioned, "I’ve never been happier. 🥰.”

In a January 2024 essay penned for Cosmopolitan, Seymour opened up about the couple’s sex life, noting that her age has made their intimacy “more wonderful and passionate than anything I ever remember because it is built on trust, love and experience."

"I now know myself and my body, and John has had his own experiences in his life — it’s not like when you’re younger," she continued. "I suppose among younger generations, people have sex first and then say, 'Oh, by the way, hello. How do you do?'”

The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman alum has also continued to speak out about ageism in Hollywood and beyond. She recently signed on for biopharmaceutical company Insmed’s Speak Up in BE campaign, which is raising awareness about “unseenism,” a social phenomenon that devalues women in society as they age.

“A lot of women, sort of [age] 50 on, just kind of hide away and expect not to be listened to or heard,” Seymour told PEOPLE exclusively at the Oscar Wilde Awards in March 2024.

“It's a real, really large issue in the medical world because you have to empower women to actually stand up for their rights,” she continued.

Seymour also shared that she rejects the idea that a woman in her 70s is “past her prime.” “I'm 73 and I don't feel old,” she said “I realize that the rest of the world probably looks and goes, ‘Ohh, that's old.’ What I want to do is redefine it.”

“It's not old," Seymour added. "That is wisdom on two legs.”
