Ronda Rousey Reveals WWE Policy Forcing Female Stars To Look "Sexy" – TJR Wrestling - TJR Wrestling

Ronda Rousey is pulling no punches when it comes to WWE.

When she signed with WWE, Ronda Rousey was arguably the most famous female combat athlete on the planet. The star had helped take women’s MMA to a whole new level, and many tipped her to do the same for WWE.

Rousey’s first WWE run was an unqualified success and ended with her taking part in the first all-female WrestleMania main event in 2019. However, her second stint, which ended in August 2023 played out in front of often apathetic crowds with repeated claims from fans and other observers that she didn’t care.

In her explosive new book Our Fight which is set to be released in April, Rousey delivers a withering assessment of several members of WWE management and goes into detail about life with the company, both good and bad.

In one excerpt, Rousey says that WWE’s female stars have to adhere to guidelines stating they must arrive at events “looking sexy.”

The arena is filled with the sounds of clanking metal, drilling, crates being wheeled in various directions, and the unfolding of hundreds of chairs. WWE production staff dressed in suits and wearing headsets roam the halls back and forth.

Wrestlers trickle in. Giant men in hoodies and sweatpants unfold themselves from behind the wheel of compact rental sedans. Fit women in oversized sunglasses, dressed in tight outfits to adhere to guidelines requiring women arrive looking “sexy,” pull small rolling suitcases behind them. Everyone walks with the slowness of a constantly aching body toward the arena.

Ronda Rousey Won’t Return To WWE “Sh*tshow”

Elsewhere in the book, Ronda Rousey gives a brutal assessment of Bruce Prichard’s role in WWE. The star said no one in the company knows what his actual job is, and describes one incident where he looked on with “the air of a failed used-car salesman.”

Meanwhile, in a new video promoting her book, Ronda Rousey said has no plans to return to WWE, calling the company an “absolute sh*tshow.”
