Short hair, red lipstick, love, and New York City. That’s what 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is all about, and this Swiftie couldn’t be more excited. Another key element of the 21-song soundtrack? Best friends. So, it only makes sense that Taylor Swift would spend the eve of her re-release with her closest pals, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Deadpool director Shawn Levy — celebrating the big moment in a totally show-stopping look.
Swift opted for an oversized sweater dress from Stella McCartney, a brand she’s worn on countless occasions. Just look back to September when she carried a Stella McCartney bag, or when she wore a pair of the label’s rectangular sunnies in June. She even gave the brand a shoutout in her London Boy track. But Swift’s fashion moment didn’t end there. Earlier in the day, she styled her sweater dress with a Ralph Lauren baseball cap, gold jewels, and a Tod’s leather crossbody bag. As the evening went on, she threw on a corduroy jacket that’s definitely a part of my Wildest Dreams.

Steve Madden Bixby Pointed-Toe Knee-High Boots
My favorite piece of her ensemble was undoubtedly her knee-high Prada boots. The color of the shoes falls somewhere between a warm, cognac brown and a red-currant hue. The footwear also has a soaring heel, while a round-toe completes the look. Unfortunately, I was unable to find her exact pair, and according to a style fanpage, that may be because she first wore them back in 2015. But there’s no Bad Blood here, because I found some pretty good lookalikes that will never go out of Style. (Are you catching all my Swift references?)
There’s almost a spot-on version for $279 from Kenneth Cole, while Steve Madden has a pointed-toe style for $200. But I Know Places where you can secure even more affordable Swift-inspired boots, such as Dream Pairs’ suede footwear. Each pick screams fall and is so simple to dress up or down. Pair the boots with a sweater dress like Swift, or opt for a plaid mini skirt and oversized knit top for a coffee date. You can also pull these shoes over skinny jeans and coordinate them with a button-up blouse for the perfect work attire. Or, pair them with an LBD for an attention-grabbing date-night outfit. Styling them is easier than you think; you’ll just have to secure a pair for yourself to know exactly what I’m talking about.
