Jessica Chastain Shows Off Her Slinky Red Dress In A Sexy Video - Giant Freakin Robot

Over the weekend Jessica Chastain attended the world premiere of Netflix‘s The Good Nurse at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) while wearing a gorgeous, slinky red dress. She shared a sexy video of the red carpet on social media, calling her meeting the fans her “favorite” part of the TIFF premiere. Accompanying the video is a sped-up, Chipmunk-ified version of Taylor Swift’s “Don’t Blame Me.”

Jessica Chastain isn’t alone on the red carpet in the video, of course. With her is her The Good Nurse co-star Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) who starts off as Chastain’s love interest in the true crime drama, but soon becomes her prime suspect.

Based on Charles Graeber’s 2014 book The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness, and Murder; Jessica Chastain’s new film is about the true life case of Charles Cullen. Cullen–who Redmayne plays in the film–was a New Jersey nurse and serial killer who confessed to murdering 29 people in his capacity as a healthcare worker. Some believe he may have actually killed as many as 400 patients which–if true–would make him the most prolific serial killer we know of.

Jessica Chastain plays Amy Loughren, a nurse and Cullen’s co-worker whose suspicions towards Cullen would ultimately lead to his capture. In the movie, Loughren works long hours alongside Cullen and begins to develop romantic feelings toward him until she suspects him of being responsible for patients’ deaths. Chastain and Redmayne are joined in the film by Nnamdi Asomugha (The Banker), Noah Emmerich (The Americans), and Kim Dickens (Gone Girl).

The Good Nurse doesn’t begin streaming on Netflix until Wednesday, October 26, but so far the reviews coming out of TIFF are fairly positive, granting the Jessica Chastain starrer an 87% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. The film is directed by Tobias Lindholm (The Hunt) from a script by Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917).

After The Good Nurse, the next feature we’re likely to be able to see Jessica Chastain in will be either Memory or Mothers’ Instinct, both of which are currently in post-production but without wide theatrical release dates confirmed.

In Mothers’ Instinct, Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises) will play housewives in the sixties whose friendship turns ugly after an accident. Mothers’ Instinct marks the feature directorial debut of BenoĆ®t Delhomme (The Theory of Everything), who until now has built a reputation as a cinematographer. The script comes from Sarah Conradt (50 States of Fright) based on Barbara Abel’s 2012 novel Behind the Hatred.

We know a lot less about Memory, which Deadline reports was completed under the radar. The outlet says while details about the plot are hard to come by, it’s rumored to have something to do with a “New York City staycation.” Jessica Chastain is joined in the film by Peter Sarsgaard (The Batman), Merritt Wever (Michael Clayton), Josh Charles (We Own This City), Elsie Fisher (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and Jessica Harper (Minority Report). Helming the project is the acclaimed director Michael Francho (Chronic).
