Sanjay Gupta Responds To ‘Never Have I Ever’ Calling Him ‘Sexy’ - ETCanada.com

Sanjay Gupta isn’t sure how to feel after “Never Have I Ever” branded him “sexy”.

The doctor, who is CNN’s chief medical correspondent, was asked about a recent episode of the Netflix show in which his name was mentioned.

“At this stage of life, I have three teenage girls, so I’m not sure when I’m being mocked or when I’m being flattered,” he said on CNN. “I guess that just goes with the territory.”

The scene Gupta is referring to sees Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and her grandmother Nirmala (Ranjita Chakravarty) discussing a “DIY Sanjay Gupta” that’s included in Nirmala’s Golu – the festive display of dolls and figurines in South India.

“Hubba hubba,” says Nirmala, who suggests her Gupta figurine might be “too sexy.”

Gupta also praised “Never Have I Ever” for its portrayal of South Asian traditions. 

“Just watching that clip as an Indian American and seeing the mother with the deities set up, I never imagined in my life that I would see it represented that way in a Netflix show,” he added. “It’s amazing for me just to see that.”

Tagging Gupta on Instagram, series creator Mindy Kaling wrote, “Let us be clear: we are all obsessed with you.”

Beyoncé's Instagram timeline has been a series of gifts to fans ever since her seventh studio album Renaissance was released, and her post on Friday is even more generous. In a reel, the musical artist showed off a stunning look from Nensi Dojaka's fall /winter 2022 collection against the sound of her new track “PURE/HONEY.”

The short black dress featured cutouts over her chest with a bandeau bra underneath for support. The bodice is made from black velvet with mesh shoulders and sleeves, and her tights repeat the pattern with cutouts and straps across her thighs.

She accessorized with black heels, large mirror earrings, and a pair of black sunglasses. At one point in the reel she also held up a custom bedazzled Judith Leiber clutch designed to look like a Texas car license plate printed with the word “c-nty,” which she playfully held against her body. It's a word featured heavily in the song.

Beyoncé kept her long blonde hair down and wore a nude lip with a smokey eye, but her nails were painted bright red. In the reel, she poses to display the look and handbag.

The new album was released on July 29 by Columbia Records and was soon at the top of the charts for the Billboard 200, which makes it 2022’s biggest week by a woman artist. Renaissance is the first album released by a woman to top the Billboard 200 in 2022. Adele took that honor last year with her album 30, which was number one for the first six weeks after its release.

The album's lead single, “Break My Soul,” is at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, making it Beyoncé's eighth chart-topper as a solo artist and her 12th chart-topper overall.

Is The Utilities Sector (XLU) Bringing Sexy Back? - See It Market

While the stock market has put together a nice rally of late, it’s the boring, watch paint dry, dividend driven utilities sector that is attempting to bring sexy back.

Wow, that was a mouthful to write… and read! But it’s true – the Spdr Utilities Sector ETF (XLU) has been on fire.

Today, we look at the recent move higher and why it’s due for a pause. We’ll also highlight what to signals/indicators to watch to see if the Utilities move is for real.

Short-term, two things immediately come to mind. Price is testing the April high and momentum is overbought. While this doesn’t mean new highs are unlikely, it does mean that this leg of the rally is likely closer to the end and needs a pullback/consolidation refresh.

The good news is that the 200-day moving average is trending higher. As well, the 50-day and 20-day moving averages are curling higher. Price is, however, well above its moving averages and could use a breather.

On the intermediate-term chart, we can see that price was slowly trending higher in boring style. Then March saw a big rally into April, followed by an equal sized decline, followed by an eerily similar rally (to March-April) occur recently. Suddenly, the Utilities Sector is volatile, tradable, and sexy! Well, maybe we shouldn’t get carried away. BUT, price is trading at the top of this recent price range. Bulls would like to see a slingshot like breakout here. Big moves like this aren’t all that common so expecting a rally this sharp to continue in similar fashion is probably risky. Guessing sexy turns to boring again soon;)

‘The Decameron’: Netflix Orders New Sexy Soapy Period Drama - TV Insider

If you can’t get enough of soapy dramas after binging two seasons of Bridgerton already, you won’t have to switch apps soon. Netflix has ordered another period soap drama to series.

The streaming service has announced it has ordered The Decameron, from creator and showrunner Kathleen Jordan and executive producer Jenji Kohan, under Kohan’s overall deal. It will examine the timely themes of class systems, power struggles, and survival in a time of pandemic with a touch of levity, with a charming and riotous ensemble of characters.

The Decameron is set in 1348, as the Black Death strikes hard in the city of Florence. A handful of nobles, with their servants, are invited to wait out the pestilence with a lavish getaway to a grand villa in the Italian countryside. However, as social rules wear thin, what starts as a wine-soaked sex romp in the hills of Tuscany descends into an all out scramble for survival.

“Kathleen Jordan is the real freakin’ deal. I am so excited and grateful that I get to work with her and we get to make this awesome, funny, timely, weird show together for Netflix,” Kohan said in a statement.

Jordan added, “I’m absolutely thrilled that I get to work with Jenji, Tara, Blake, and Netflix again. I can’t wait for people to meet this ridiculous group of characters. I’m sure Giovanni Boccaccio would be… confused?” (Jordan is referring to the 14th century Italian author of a collection of short stories with a similar setting.

Joining Jordan and Kohan as executive producers of the eight episodes are Blake McCormick and Tara Herrmann for Tilted Productions and Mike Uppendahl, who will direct.

Adding extra oomph to her swimsuit, Addison accessorized with a cherry-colored organza sun hat, also by the designer.
