Yakuza Producer Surprised Everyone Finds Majima Sexy - Kotaku

Creators can’t control how their creations are received once they enter the world. Case in point, one of the key people behind the popular and long-running Yakuza series apparently had no idea how many people, especially women, found the series’ recurring, one-eyed character Goro Majima to be so damn sexy.

Majima first appeared all the way back in the PlayStation 2’s original 2005 Yakuza as the head of the Majima Family and a lieutenant of Futoshi Shimano. In that game, he becomes a bit obsessed with protagonist Kazuma Kiryu because Kiryu refuses to fight him when provoked, leading to Majima following around and ambushing him to get him to fight back.

Majima has since appeared in many Yakuza / Like a Dragon games and become pretty popular in his own right. But apparently, Yakuza series producer and director Hiroyuki Sakamoto had no idea how many of you find Majima to be downright attractive.

In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, Sakamoto was asked what his favorite thing was from Like a Dragon: Ishin! (an upcoming remake of a formerly Japan-only Yakuza spin-off set in 1800s Japan). And his answer was so funny that it reportedly made his translator crack up.

Sakamoto told RPS that back when they were developing the original 2014 version of Ishin!, they were having trouble picking which Yakuza characters to include. They wanted to create an “all-star cast” but weren’t sure who should be in the game, so they asked fans and went with who was the most popular.

“When we finished it [the popularity contest], we did the announcement of the results in Shinjuku, in front of this place called Alta—a big gathering place in Shinjuku, if you’re unfamiliar with it,” Sakamoto explained. “And I think we did the top five, or top 10 people and we had it on a big screen and it was, like, a big announcement.”

Gisele Bündchen Poses for a Sexy Photoshoot Post-Tom Brady Divorce - PEOPLE

Gisele Bündchen is getting back to work and showing off her supermodel posing skills in the process.

The fashion industry star and entrepreneur, 42, was spotted near Miami doing a photo shoot wearing a plunging, metallic purple Versace one-piece with a hood. In several shots, Bündchen can be seen posing in a sexy stance while looking up and over at the camera and posing with her knees in the sand.

The mom-of-three seems to be getting back in the swing of things after putting her modeling career on hold for a few years to raise her children with NFL star Tom Brady, 45: Benjamin Rein, 12, daughter Vivian Lake, 9 and stepson Jack, 15, which Brady shares with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Before taking a break, Bündchen had previously been named the highest-paid model for 14 straight years from 2002 to 2016 thanks to massive contracts with brands like Pantene, Carolina Herrera, and Chanel.

It appears she's climbing her way back up the modeling chain again after divorcing Brady, having kicked off 2023 by starring in a new campaign with Louis Vuitton and making her first red carpet appearance since the breakup at Vivara's 60th anniversary dinner in São Paulo in December dressed in gold.

"She is supercharged about her career in the next few months," a source told PEOPLE last week. "She is busy making decisions and feels happy and more settled than she has in a long time."

"She feels a sense of renewal with newfound energy and a happy future outlook," the source added. "Her life was in flux for so long, and now it is more settled. She is optimistic."

Another source also told PEOPLE that she is "starting over in a good frame of mind" and that she feels "confident, strong and better than she has in a long, long time."

After 13 years of marriage, Brady and Bündchen filed for divorce on Oct. 28. In a three-page legal document obtained by PEOPLE, it was officially declared that the marriage was dissolved and "irretrievably broken."

Both Bündchen and Brady shared statements on Instagram announcing their split.

"With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce," Bündchen wrote in hers. She continued: "The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always."

While advocating for the release of her imprisoned friend, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, actress Pamela Anderson reportedly said Assange's mother advised her to downplay her sexy facade to be taken more seriously.

Anderson became a close friend of Assange's while he lived in political asylum at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London and the actress recalled their visits, which included vegan meals, talks of the world, and some occasional "frisky" fun, according to her memoir "Love, Pamela," an excerpt of which appeared in The Sunday Times Magazine. 

Anderson started working on "clever ways" to help Assange and advocate for his release, including visiting Assange's mother, Christine, in Australia. Anderson brought donations to Christine, who she described as "a big-hearted woman" who was "so distraught over her son," per Anderson's memoir.

"Christine is a brilliant woman and straight shooter. She was quick to give me advice about my life and career," Anderson wrote. "She'd spoken to Julian about me, and she knew I deserved a lot more respect than people gave me, especially in the media."

She added: "But it was partly my own fault, she pointed out, because of the way I had utilised my image. She told me to stop posting sexy photos on social media, to post authentic ones, ones with my sons or pets, with less make-up, not retouched. She thought it would help me become a stronger and more serious activist, because my intelligence was being overshadowed."

Assange lived in the 330-square-foot residence in the embassy from 2012 to 2019, until he was imprisoned by London authorities. In her memoir, Anderson wrote that she was the first person to visit Assange at Belmarsh Prison in London. 

"By his request, I was the first person to visit Julian at Belmarsh, the supermax prison. It was a shocking experience – the five checkpoints, the shouting and screaming while we crossed through the yard," Anderson wrote. "It was the most frightening place I've ever visited. Julian is a mild-mannered person, not a physical threat to anyone, and he is being broken down, psychologically tortured."

Though she said she was "touched" by his mother's suggestion and gave the idea "serious consideration," Anderson ultimately opted to continue advocating in her own way with her own personality. 

"I argued, I am who I am, and I've always believed that striving to be a sensual person, or being sexy, should not conflict with intelligence. Women have fought hard so that we do not need to limit ourselves," Anderson wrote. "And this confirmed for me that I had to use all I had even more to get attention for what was right. And so I continued the work the only way I knew how."

Fashion Photography: Is It All Just Pretty Girls in Sexy Clothes? - Fstoppers

Browse any amateur fashion photography page, and you will quickly discover that a lot of the work is just pretty girls in average outfits. It almost seems like a lot of this “photography” is not so much about the clothes as it is about the girls. In this article, we will discuss the causes of this phenomenon and answer the question: what is real fashion photography?

When I started out taking fashion images, I was always working with models who were clothed. It took me a few years at least to attempt any sort of nudity in my work. Even then, it was awkward, and the shooting experience was not enjoyable. Yet, other creatives start with “sexy girl in a bra” photography. This has polarized the photography community for years now. To what extent is “sexy girl in a bra” fashion photography? I think it is not; in fact, I think it is one of the largest reasons behind the stigma of the “fashion photographer.”

A large portion of amateur fashion photographers has nothing to do with real fashion photography. The primary reason for doing such work is the remote possibility of meeting a sexy girl and going out with her later. I’ve personally known people who would ask girls to participate in shoots only because they wanted them sexually.

Usually, these are the same people who claim that they are unable to work if their subject is not sexy or attractive. Excuse me, but, if there is anything that screams “amateur hour,” it has to be this. One of the things that separates hobbyists from professionals is that a professional can fall in love with almost any subject they have in front of them. Just look at Platon’s image of Putin. Even at the time of photographing him, Putin had a horrible human rights record. Despite being a human rights advocate, Platon still photographed Putin, as a true professional photographer.

I believe it was Peter Lindbergh who said that while the model is on set, he is in love with her, but as soon as the camera is off, he no longer is. It is hard to photograph a subject you don’t love, respect, or admire in one way or another. However, a true professional can find something interesting in everyone. If you struggle with this, I strongly recommend looking at Peter Hurley’s Headshot Course available in our store. We have made a section on finding interesting facial features in human faces, which will help you tremendously in this. It is not easy; it comes with practice.

Claiming to be a fashion photographer if what you do is just take photos of pretty girls in sexy outfits is misleading. The entry point into this segment of the market is practically non-existent. All you need is a few basic light setups off YouTube, some cameras and lights, and you’re good to go. Do be aware of the fact that there is no money in this. While I personally don’t like this genre of fashion photography, I won’t judge you if you do. Be honest with your demands from all of this. I say that you are free to do whatever you want as long as it is legal, but please call it something else, not fashion.

For the rest of us who want to improve and become real fashion photographers, the first thing to do is to stop doing “camera club" photography. This is where you have to open your mind to a lot of new information.

What Is Real Fashion Photography?

There is a lot of content on YouTube claiming to be “fashion,” when, in reality, it is not. A lot of these videos are easy to tell by their style. The makeup is usually something inspired by a 2009 post on DeviantArt, the lighting is a three-light setup from YouTube, and the skin is so plastic that it kills sea turtles.

What you should be watching are videos of behind-the-scenes from big fashion houses and magazines. There is a lot of this content. I would recommend creators such as Ian Hippolyte, BTS videos from Vogue, Lara Jade, etc.  Another great way to see good fashion photography is to check out websites such as models.com. Because gatekeepers are protecting the platform, the content on it is much more refined and "real." 

Real fashion photography is about fashion. However, that is not to say that nudity and sexiness have no place in it. However, there is a big difference between a photo that belongs in Playboy and Marie Claire (even in their nude issue). Nudity on its own is just that. However, if it is elevated, and there is a meaning behind it, it becomes something more. Another reason for nudity in fashion photography is that it is perhaps one of the best ways to draw attention to an item of clothing or an accessory. Both male and female nudity has a place in real fashion photography. Take a look at some of the Tom Ford campaigns and the work of Steven Klein and Steven Meisel.

Unfortunately, there is a dark and disgusting side to fashion photography, and the dozens if not hundreds of legitimate cases of misconduct from all sides are not uncommon. Some of the nudity is not consensual, and models are sometimes forced to do it, especially at the beginning of their careers. Photographers that take advantage of models in such a way are harming not only their reputations but the reputation of the industry. While there is nothing wrong with two people meeting on set and ending up having a romance because they like each other, there is everything wrong with one party abusing their power to get an intimate relationship.

Closing Thoughts

Real fashion photography is far from sexy girl photography. Personally, my favorite models are far from traditional standards of beauty. When casting for personal projects, perhaps the last thing I look for is how sexy the model is. Sure, once I had to cast someone solely based on their breast size, however, that is an outlier.

Be honest with your intentions when doing fashion photography. If all you want to do is sexy girl photography and they’re up for whatever it is that you want, go for it! But for the rest of us who want to do real fashion photography, this is not the way.

TODAY star Savannah Guthrie has fired fans up after rocking a sassy outfit in new photos.

Savannah, 51, shared snaps of herself in a sexy black skirt and a sleeveless floral blouse to her Instagram Stories.

In the photo the NBC anchor was behind-the-scenes of Today, standing back-to-back with her hosting partner Hoda Kotb, 58.

The 51-year-old's skirt stopped just above her knees and accentuated her figure, specifically her long legs.

Savannah's floral blouse exposed her toned arms and hugged her bosom ever so slightly.

Meanwhile, Hoda wore a simple black leather dress that came down to her shins and bulky boots.

Even though Savannah and Hoda were the focal points of the former's image, there was another Today star who was caught in their shot, attempting to steal the spotlight.

Upon further inspection of Savannah's pictures, fellow co-anchor Craig Melvin, 43, can be seen in the background of her multiple Instagram story snaps.

Craig made a funny face in a couple of the photos that the media personalities took, appearing directly behind them as he photobombed.

Both TV notables kept their grins in every picture that they took, despite Craig goofing off in two of them.

Irrespective of Craig's comedic behavior in the snaps, it didn't take away from Savannah's eye-catching fashion choice.

Lately the correspondent has appeared on the morning show donning some stylish attire, much like she did in her newest Instagram stories.

Back in early December, after missing a week of the Today due to illness, Savannah came back bold when she reappeared on the show.

Savannah wore a stunning royal blue dress, which was made out of silk.

The low-cut dress had pointed sleeves and happened to tie around her waist.

Additionally, it was paired with two gold necklaces, a bracelet, and silver heels.

The dress went down to just above her ankles.
